Lake Road runs along the northeastern Lake Ontario shoreline of Webster, on the east side of the town, through a neighborhood also known as Fieldcrest. Webster is a town in the northeastern corner of Monroe County, established in 1840 from the northern part of Penfield and named for Daniel Webster; its motto is "Where Life Is Worth Living" and its population was 45,327 at the 2020 census. Webster Park, a 550-acre Monroe County park on the lakeshore, is entered from Lake Road or Holt Road and has a fishing pier, a seasonal campground, lodges and shelters, and the 1.4-mile Ridge Trail.
