Springville

Springville is a village in the town of Concord in Erie County, New York, the main community of the county's southtowns, with a population of 4,225 at the 2020 census. First called Fiddler's Green, it was incorporated in 1834, and its Springville Academy, opened in 1830, became Erie County's first high school before taking the name Springville Griffith Institute in 1867. Route 39 runs through the village as Main Street, U.S. 219 passes just to the west, and Cattaraugus Creek lies to the south. Five buildings and two historic districts in the village are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
