Seneca

from $54

Seneca Lake is a Finger Lake in central New York that spans Schuyler, Seneca, Yates and Ontario counties. At 38 miles long, with a surface area of 66.9 square miles and a maximum depth of 618 feet, it holds roughly half the water in the entire Finger Lakes chain, and its underground springs keep it from freezing over in most years. The lake is named for the Seneca people; the city of Geneva stands at its north end and the village of Watkins Glen at its south end. Its shores hold more than 50 wineries within the Seneca Lake AVA, and the lake hosts the National Lake Trout Derby.
