Mendon is a town in southeastern Monroe County, on the county's southern border about 13 miles south of Rochester, with a population of 9,095 at the 2020 census. It borders Pittsford to the north and Victor to the east and is made up mostly of horse farms and family homes, with the highest point in Monroe County in the Hopper Hills at its southeast corner. The town separated from Bloomfield in 1812 and most likely takes its name from Mendon, Massachusetts. Mendon Ponds Park, the largest park in the county at 2,462 acres, has been a National Natural Landmark since 1967 for its glacial features, and the village of Honeoye Falls sits on Honeoye Creek in the town's southwest.
