Winton Road is a north-south street on the east side of Rochester, New York, running as North Winton Road through the Browncroft neighborhood and as South Winton Road past Cobbs Hill before continuing into the town of Brighton. The area around East Avenue and Winton Road was the village of Brighton until Rochester annexed it in 1905, and farther south the road forms one leg of Twelve Corners, Brighton's commercial center. North Winton Road bounds the Browncroft Historic District, a 116-acre neighborhood of homes built between 1914 and the Second World War, and once carried State Route 3 and US 104 out of the city; on the south side, the First Unitarian Church of Rochester at 220 Winton Road South, designed by Louis Kahn and completed in 1962, stands on the National Register of Historic Places.
